3/16/11 Meeting: Vision Statement

Vision statement (via Wikipedia): Defines the desired or intended future state of an organization or enterprise in terms of its fundamental objective and/or strategic direction. Vision is a long-term view, sometimes describing how the organization would like the world to be in which it operates. For example, a charity working with the poor might have a vision statement which reads "A World without Poverty."

At the 3/16 meeting the following was produced to serve as our vision statement for a healthy Juneau: 

A Thriving Community – Engaging a diverse and intergenerational population and ensuring access to an exceptional quality of life.

Healthier Juneau Visioning Meeting on 3/9/11

Here are three questions that we will be asking YOU:

• What does a healthy Juneau mean to you?
• What are important characteristics of a healthy community for all who live, work, and play here?
• How will Juneau be different in the next five or ten years?

Next MAPP group meeting on 2/1 2pm at United Way

We will talk about our 3/9/11 visioning meeting planning, review the invitation list, and finalize the invitation letter.

Juneau MAPP group met on 12/7/10

We had a great meeting on 12/7/10. We are planning to host a visioning meeting -":from the 2009 Juneau Health Summit and through the MAPP to a healthier Juneau community"  on 3/9/11. Stay tuned!
